This is according to my personal experience when painting cars, and the dosage I usually use is standard, not too thick nor too runny. The comparison is Paint: Thinner 1 Liter paint: 1 and a half Liter thinner Why does it have to be standard, because if it's too thick it will waste paint and the result will usually be thick/rough, but if it's too runny, the paint might easily flow down, especially if there's a lot of wind while painting. Actually it depends on the feeling of the painter himself according to experience from time to time.
Both base paint and paint, so the dosage is not too much different so that the quality is maintained, at best, adjust the painter's taste, add or reduce the amount according to personal experience from time to time.
